As exhausting as it can be to photograph a 12-hour wedding, I don’t think I’ve ever worked as hard as I did photographing this cute little family! We all took turns rocking and cooing, then feeding and burping and finally changing these sweet one-month old twins, before starting the routine all over again! The risk in removing the diaper from a baby is the threat of “poomageddon,” which inevitably occurred x 2 during this shoot! One clean shirt and lots of paper towels later, the stars aligned to give me some of my favourite newborn images to date.
These two munchkins were too revved up to give me the serene sleeping pose that I was aiming for. But that’s ok – I’ve often heard that parents want to see more photos of their newborn babies with their eyes open, since they spend so much of their first weeks sleeping. Not a problem here! 
I know it’s just facial muscles working involuntarily, but doesn’t he look like he’s pursing his lips for a kiss?
