Altogether { The James Family }

I barely recognized these two when I came to their home in Barrie.   The last time I saw them, Jack was only half a year old and Mady was an inquisitive one year old, fascinated by everything.   Now, two years older, they are bold and energetic, greeting my arrival with their adorably cute munchkin voices!    Their mom, Barb is a high school friend of mine, and each time we meet, I love catching up on the lives of my long lost Barrie friends.  I’ve never regretted leaving my sleepy hometown for the hustle of Toronto.   But ohh, it’s so nice to drive back every once in a while; through the greenbelt, and crumbling farms, long stretches of colourful crops and acres and acres of forests.  Paradise!

One of the must-have locations for our photo session was Ardagh Bluffs, with it’s stately pines – I’ve rode my mountain bike many times through these straight trees and have always thought it a great place for a photo shoot.  I hope to return in the near future for another…

Below are a few of my favs from our early evening shoot…

Kids are naturally happy, but sometimes it takes a little bribe to keep the smiles going when in front of my lens.  I use candy, and by the end of this session, the red juice from their licorice whips was all over their faces!  Thank goodness for Photoshop!

Mady is a mile-a-minute gal, but on a rare occasion, she would stop and give me the most intensely beautiful gaze.

While Mady is independent, thoughtful and bright, Jack is a cuddly sweetheart – so different and yet they are each other’s best friends!

Awwww!  Mady! :)

Let’s not let another two years go by before I see you all again!   xo Lee
