Josie and Anthony are a sweet couple who’s wedding I photographed a few weeks ago. Assisting me was the phenomenal Robyn Chew who started the day with Anthony at his parent’s home. I’m leading this blog with a couple of amazing images shot by her. And doesn’t Anthony look handsome???

I arrived at Josie’s house to photograph her prep for the day. I was welcomed by an entourage of family members, who instantly set out to stuff me full of the extravagant spread of food! I managed to sneak upstairs to grab some shots of Josie’s attire.

Normally, I like to photograph my brides dressing in the most natural-lit room of the house. In this case, the humidity forced us to a room with an air-conditioner unit blocking the only window! No matter - we still caught some lovely shots!

I truly adore Josie’s family – they were all smiles and hugs all day long! Josie’s dad was elated and tearful, seeing his only daughter dressed in her bridal attire for the first time.

The adorable flower girls, standing amongst the tomato plants in the backyard!

Another stellar shot taken by Robyn – I love how she captured the hustle of people escaping the rain before the ceremony.

Notice the clock: the time says 2pm on the nose. The priest actually made a speech about how this was the first time a bride had arrived 30 minutes early to start the ceremony on time!

Anthony couldn’t stop looking at Josie and smiling throughout the wedding!

Taken just after the ceremony – look how happy they are!!!![]()

We all headed to The Royal Ambassador in Caledon, one of my favourite venues for the reception. And look at this cake! I love the ostrich feathers on top!

As I captured family portraits, Robyn snapped some detail shots of the elaborately decorated reception! I love the black and white damask print used throughout and jewel-bedecked tables!

After a few minutes alone, Josie and Anthony joined us for a few romantic shots. The Royal Ambassador offers so many amazing settings that it’s nearly impossible to capture them all.

After a few rainstorms, the clouds finally parted to reveal a beautiful pink sunset.

The reception was a fun event, and the live band kept the guests dancing long into the night!

Thanks, Josie and Anthony, for having us as your wedding photographers! Best wishes for this new chapter in your lives! xo Lee
