Meet Kathy and Jake. He’s Croatian; shy, thoughtful and brooding. She’s Italian; bubbly, energetic and outgoing. Almost a mirror image of my own relationship of ten years, and I totally “get” how these two opposites attract! Having booked me over the phone, we met for the first time in Yorkville Village. Kathy came prepared with a myriad of ideas she wanted to try out and Jake and I couldn’t help but be swept up in her enthusiasm!
I wish I could say I planned this shot, but I didn’t notice the kissing couple in the mural until I looked at this image on my computer!
A popular custom in Croatia is the sharing of homemade schnapps wrapped in a towel made specifically for the wedding. It looks like Kathy and Jake would have preferred a mixed drink!
