The Frank family were having their annual reunion in early July and so I met with them at Edward’s Gardens for a casual portrait session. Although I tried to book the shoot early enough in the day to avoid the crazy heat wave that week, it didn’t help much! As we jumped from shady patch to shady patch, I have to hand it to the Franks for being such troopers and smiling through the heat!
Nothing gets kids laughing more than tickles!!!
I’ve known Dave since diapers – we go waaaay back, and so I was ecstatic to see Dave and his wife again and their new baby Mya!
I love the expression on the faces of new parents: priceless!
Kids + heat wave = splashing in the water fountain!
And here was one of our brave ventures into full sun – and I think it was worth it!
Murphy’s Law: if you’re going to put a child on your shoulders, expect to get your ears pulled!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a baby smile at such a young age as Mya! And I promise it was real smiles and not gas!
